To All;
I have uploaded QM-2MODM.ZIP bat file to run Qmodem with one
of 2 Modems. I am using the HST DS and/or the Intel 9600EX.
Each has it's own init strings and speed settings in Qmodem.
It's pretty self explanatory (with study). The reason for the
different prompt is so that I am reminded that I have Shelled
out of Qmodem and SHOULD NOT ever end a session without
completing the bat file without renaming the files. Qmodem.COM
was the 'gate' or guard file to keep me from running Qmodem from
it's sub directory and not thru the bat file. The business of the
cache selection/dumping allows flexibility. My Norton cache and
Filesave.exe are always dumped on entry. Again, this might be
clearer if you have BOBSBATS.Zip, previously uploaded.
Just be sure that you have renamed your files properly before you
run this bat file. I have moved my doc files, host and all other
support files to a sub directory hanging off QMODEM. Check the
file renaming areas very carefully. Check your sub directory files
carefully. The QMOK2RUN.DIR is how mine looks before running this
bat file, which is located in C:\BAT
This is freeware. That way this doc file can be short, because the
file is for my system and setup. You'll want to change it to suit
yours, if you find it potentially useful.
